I have a question for the pdc community, what service do you recommend for watching cycling online from the US? I have gone through the horrible glitches and disappointments of cycling.tv and have more recently been subscribing to Universal Sports (although I miss its free days). I'm fine watching live steams online from various sources, but too often I can't watch the race live and want to watch more than short highlights. So is Universal Sports the best option, or is there something better out there?
it's not as if universal sports has much road cycling available for the subscription. nbcsports will have some, mostly delayed coverage. tho will have full LIVE coverage of paris-roubaix this year.
if you have the download speed available (and the storage space), there is a source out there for shared cycling coverage among fans. (don’t know how obscure that reference can be.)

The source is definitely the best option I've found for delayed coverage

a little poking around gave me what i was looking for thanks.
looks like an incredible resource, not sure why i hadn’t even considered this as an option before

Sadly
The demise of Megaupload has shut down a lot of access to cycling videos. I’m hoping something else comes along.

So looks like Universal Sports has started posted some info on their online packages

If that $40 include most of the classics and the Giro live, that seems like a fair price. Just waiting on more details…

If your not in the US you can’t get this.

please note how universal sports doesn't tell you which races those are,
tho, based on prior years, tirreno-adriatico, milano-sanremo (both without american commentators, have never figured out who the british commentators are) and just the ambient (no commentary) of pais-vasco, and the giro (american commentators).
nbcsports (old versus) has the other races.

Wait I thought NBCsports and universalsports were one and the same now... Confused...

Same owner, different channels

cyclingtorrents.com is the best place to get cycling videos.
In Canada right now I do not have a pay option. I would pay whoever for the races but they are unavailable. I have subscribed to sportsnetone in the hopes that it will show cycliing. Until then Torrenting my races is the only option.

that's what we were obliquely referring to in the first two posts in this thread. not quite sure of the legal liabilities of actually mentioning the site here.
umwolverine - February 21, 2012
Since they got the address wrong, no legal liabilities at all I suspect.
But still, shhhh…

Oh I have seen it mentioned here before and it gets less attention than talking about carrots vis a vis a certain WT
Team which shall remain nameless =-O figured I would come right out and point tout the elephant in the room since its so big and such a great help to me! Oh and i have it bookmarked so haven’t typed in the url in a couple of years. but yeah its a .nl site.
